In 1988 this painting of the Oval was commissioned by the Office of Alumnae Relations at The Maderia School. It beautifully portrays Old Main and its surroundings in the spring sunshine.

The artist, David Keeling, oversaw the painting’s reproduction as offset lithographs, which were printed on acid-free, museum-quality paper to ensure their color and durability. Each was signed before being double-matted and framed in a gold-lipped, mahogany-stained, wooden moulding. Then the Alumni/Development Office offered them to the School’s alumni and friends.
