In 1985 Shippensburg University commissioned this painting of Old Main, the heart of the campus, in the spring sunshine. It includes the tower on Old Main, the bridge to Horton Hall and Solomon’s Temple.

The artist, David Keeling, oversaw the painting’s reproduction as offset lithographs, which were printed on acid-free, museum-quality paper to ensure their color and durability. He signed each one before they were double-matted and framed in a gold-lipped, mahogany-stained, wooden molding. Then the General Alumni Association offered them to the University’s alumni and friends.
